1. Acceptance of Terms

By using this website or making a booking directly through www.ahilyabythesea.com, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth below. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not proceed with using the site or making a reservation.

2. Use of Website

You may browse and make direct bookings via our website without creating an account. You agree not to misuse the website in any way, including attempting unauthorized access or posting false or misleading information.

3. Booking, Payment & Confirmation

To ensure that your stay at Ahilya by the sea is confirmed and guaranteed, we need an advance deposit of 50% of the value of full stay charges at the time of booking. A balance 50% is required 60 days prior to check-in. Kindly note that no reservation will be treated as confirmed until we receive an advance deposit. We will do our best to advise you if your request for a room is threatened by another inquiry. However, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so in all cases. You may like to make the advance payment to secure confirm booking via bank transfer, cheque, or Credit card. We do not prefer accepting any payments in Cash. If there are unavoidable cases of Cash payments, All Cash payments should be accompanied by a self-certified true copy of Permanent Account Number (PAN)

To ensure that your stay at Ahilya by the Sea is confirmed and guaranteed during Xmas and New Year (from 21st Dec through 06th Jan), we need a 100% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. There shall be no refunds in case of cancellation or date change.

For clients who wish to make the payment by Credit Card /Airpay & HDFC payment Gateway, please ask our Reservation Manager for Online Credit Card Link Via Airpay/ HDFC to transfer money instantly. We do not accept AMEX. We accept Master Cards and Visa.

For clients who wish to make payments via their bank through National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) OR Foreign Remittances via their bank, our bank details are hereunder for your information. You may inform your bankers to transfer funds to this account. Please always inform your bankers to transfer funds to us in INDIAN RUPEES only. Please ensure that we receive the requested amount after the deduction of bank charges at your end. Your banker will advise you of the exact amount in your currency that you have to transfer so that we receive the exact requested amount.

Payment by Rupee banker’s cheque through COURIER to our office in New Delhi. The bank draft should be made to: AHILYA EXPERIENTAL HOSPITALITY AND SERVICES LLP and sent to:

The balance payment is payable not less than 60 days before arrival at Ahilya by the Sea.

We strongly recommend that prospective guests take out travel insurance, as we will not be in a position to deviate from our cancellation/refund policy. Agents, please ensure that your clients are aware of our cancellation

4. Cancellation, Date Change & Refund Policy

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • 60 days prior to check-in: 100% refund
  • 46- 60 days prior to check-in: 50% refund
  • 31-45 days prior to check-in: 25% refund
  • 0-30 days prior to check-in: No refund

Cancellation due to medical emergency

In case of cancellation due to a medical emergency, a retention, refund or credit note may be considered upon submission of valid medical documents. Please provide the following:

  • Doctor’s diagnosis report and prescription
  • Supporting medical documents (lab reports, X-ray, admission/discharge summary, etc.)
  • “Not Fit to Travel” certificate from the treating doctor

Requests will be reviewed once the documents are received, and the outcome (retention, refund or credit note) will be confirmed accordingly. Without the required documents, cancellations will be processed as per the standard cancellation policy.

Refund policy:

Refund of advances to Foreign Bank accounts/credit cards can only be made up to 180 days from the date of receipt of the advance. Beyond 180 days, we will not be able to refund any monies received through Airpay. Hence, all cancellations should be intimated to us in advance in writing at the earliest. In case of eligible refunds, We can refund the necessary amount to your bank account or Credit card only after deducting the bank transfer fee or any other charges that we might have incurred at the time of receiving the deposit or any charges that we may incur at the time of refund. The refund on cancellation if eligible may take at least 1 months’ time to be completed on account of the compliances involved.

Force Majure Clause

If for any reason related to war, political unrest, terrorist attack, a pandemic, or natural disasters that fall under the “act of God” category such as flood, earthquake, or external circumstances or restrictions by State govt. beyond control, one has to cancel the plans, please do not worry as the money will be in our safe custody and you can utilize it for your future travel anytime in the next 12 months. No refund

5. Check-In / Check-Out

  • Check-in time: 13:00
  • Check-out time: 11:00
  • Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

6. Guest Conduct & House Rules

  • Guests are expected to conduct themselves with respect for others and the property.
  • Management reserves the right to evict any guest engaging in disruptive, illegal, or inappropriate behavior, without refund.
  • Smoking is not permitted inside rooms. It is permitted in public areas as long as it does not disturb other guests.
  • Pets are allowed only with prior written permission from the General Manager.
  • Valid government-issued photo ID is required at check-in.

7. Liability Disclaimer

  • Ahilya by the sea is not liable for any loss, damage, theft, or misplacement of personal belongings.
  • The hotel is not responsible for personal injuries, accidents, or medical issues during your stay.
  • Guests are encouraged to use the safes provided in rooms and take necessary precautions.

9. Privacy & Data Use

All information submitted by users through the site is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the website or making a booking, you consent to the use of your data in accordance with our policy, including secure data sharing between Ahilya by the sea and our sister property, Ahilya Fort.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this site including photographs, descriptions, and branding are the intellectual property of Ahilya by the sea or its partners and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Goa, India.

12. Updates to This Agreement

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
